Tate sang for his Dad, Steve, who he credited as the one “who
made who I am.” Where both of his parents likened him to “a shadow of his
father” since both men loved music but gave it up to take care of their
families.
Though that his father was not able to attend the show, Tate
sang the Lonestar’s 2001 hit “I’m Already There“, while his wife and daughter watching
and cheering for him in the audience. It was one of the most fervent performances
of Tate that made his eyes rife with the emotion of the experience.
The judges thought that the performance was not his best
performance but still appreciated the effort and Simon even said that he loved
the song. While LA reminded him that “America loves you” hopes voters would
keep him on the safe spot for another week of the competition. You can watch
